Deep Dish Cinnamon Apple Crumb Pie

Starting with a flaky pie crust, we combine the perfect blend of cinnamon, brown sugar and apples to create our delicious apple pie filling. A generous amount of golden brown, sweetened crumble is added to the top. You can drizzle the final touch with a pouch of vanilla icing. With more servings and more fruit than our other Mrs. Smith's® Pies, our Deep Dish Cinnamon Apple Crumb Pie is perfect for larger gatherings.

Q: Can I bake a Deep Dish Cinnamon Apple Crumb Pie that has thawed in the refrigerator?
A: Our frozen pies are designed to bake from a frozen state; therefore, we do not recommend, nor can we guarantee the quality of, baking a pie that has thawed in the refrigerator

Q: Can I bake two pies together?
A: Baking two pies together reduces the temperature of the oven, so there should be adjustments made. When baking two pies together, bake for 5-10 minutes in addition to what is stated in the regular directions on the package. You may want to cover the edges in tin foil due to the extra heat. Since ovens vary, you will want to check the pies often during the baking process.

BAKING INSTRUCTIONS:

KEEP FROZEN UNTIL READY TO BAKE. FOR FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY COOK BEFORE EATING TO AN INTERNAL TEMPERATURE OF 160°F.

Quick Bake:

Place oven rack in center position. Preheat oven to 375 °F.

   
Quick Bake:

Remove frozen pie from box, remove plastic wrap, and fluff streusel with a fork.

Center frozen pie on a cookie sheet lined with aluminum foil, and place in preheated oven. Do not remove pie from original foil pan.

Bake at 375° F for 55 to 65 minutes until streusel is golden brown. Place icing packet on table to thaw while pie bakes.

Remove baked pie carefully from oven on cookie sheet with oven mitts, and allow to cool 10-20 minutes. Never handle by edge of pie pan. Serve warm in 30 minutes, or cooled after 2 hours.

   
Quick Bake:

Knead icing packet gently before opening. Using scissors, cut corner of packet. Lightly squeeze packet to add icing onto warm slice. Place unused portion in refrigerator for up to 3 days.

PLEASE NOTE: Cover a cookie sheet with aluminum foil to catch juices that may boil out during baking. Because ovens vary, adjust time and temperature as necessary.
