Why does the juice from my cobbler run when I serve it on a plate?
Mrs. Smith's cobblers are old-fashioned desserts. We suggest that you serve them in a bowl to capture all the juicy goodness.


My cobbler center wasn't cooked even though I cooked it as long as the package directions called for. What happened?
Most likely it wasn't baked long enough. Try baking it 5 to 10 minutes longer than normal or increase the oven temperature to fully cook the center. You also might try and center your cobbler with respect to the oven's heating elements and rotate the cobbler during heating. Finally, check your oven temperature with a reliable oven thermometer.

My cobbler boiled over. What happened?
Reduce excessive boiling by decreasing the oven temperature after boiling begins.

My cobbler crust turned dark brown. How can I prevent this?
